Nothing unique to add to positive reviews. Our hiking group slammed them with ten on a Saturday afternoon and they satisfied. All our diverse draft beers were fresh and each quickly-delivered meal was beautiful and delicious. My short rib tacos and sweet potato fries was enough for two meals, even after sharing the fries with my table. I asked the server "Do you realize how good you are?" Our group has been coming for years and we will return.

Great food and awesome music! Consistently good food. My wife always has to have the steak sandwich and my son loves their big pretzel! Keep rocking Kitchen Beer Bar!

Small locals joint. Good pub atmosphere. Really good food, and a good beer list. Try it.

Always great food, extensive beer list, and great staff. One of my favorite local places.

Heh, I see I have left a prior review for this very bar. Well, this time I actually went inside (while my car... long story) and had a drink, had some food, watched some football. Inside, they played music instead of featuring audio for one of the games, even with the hometown Giants playing. (I'm not a Giants fan, just noting this for the Yelp record.) The atmosphere didn't feel particularly divey this time - it's been dressed up a bit toward the trendier side now, though certainly nothing fancy. I got buffalo chicken poutine on my second trip and while it's certainly not poutine, the cheese curds melted into a very satisfying disco fries. They had a number of local / craft beers on tap. Nothing cheap - $9/pint for beer (or a couple of 20 oz pours), $15-17 for the poutines or burgers, list goes on. I would not call the cheese sparse anymore, nor would I say the food portion is too small - plenty arrived for me in the end. Happy hour prices would be nice, so do aim for those (it varies by day, and that's actually published on their menu - didn't think to photo that...). Kitchen appears to be doing well now, so up from 3 to 4 stars in 2024.

The place has improved alot over the last couple years I have to say I enjoy going and the food is amazing ! The selections for beer are awesome and the drinks are good (on this it depends who makes them ) but I do love the change in seasonal drink menu and overall pleased with the drinks the only suggestion is for those who don't drink or on a strict diet a flavor seltzer like the pelligrino orange and lemon cans would be amazing Overall I highly recommend and love the nights there is trivia etc ....

This is a great gastropub. We always enjoy coming here, even just for beers and apps. The food is mostly terrific, with changing specials and daily happy hour items on rotation, and some exotic game meats thrown in the mix like elk, bison, and wild boar. The tater tots are magical! Crispy, fresh and golden. My husband makes fun of the fact that I order tater tots everywhere they're offered, but even he admits these are awesome. The restaurant definitely lives up to its name - there is an extensive and I mean EXTENSIVE beer list, and they are always adding new craft beers and selections from local breweries. The bourbon, whiskey and scotch list is pretty respectable too. There's always something happening here: trivia/bingo nights, a tapping event, or when UFC is on, so the variety in food and entertainment keeps things constantly interesting. The beer garden is open for the warm weather so you can dine outside as well. Service is great!

Located on Ringwood Ave. in Haskell, Kitchen and Beer Bar prominently stands amongst its nearby surroundings in the downtown section of Wanaque (Haskell and Wanaque are basically the same town, it's a very odd history). With warmer days expected now that spring is in full swing, Kitchen and Beer Bar has outdoor seating as an option for its guests. Inside dining is on the smaller side, so it's in your best interest to beat the crowds on busy nights. I have eaten here a handful of times over the last two years or so and have nothing but positive things to say. The food is always hot and fresh (even with takeout). The whole staff is very nice and helpful upon your arrival. And for any sports fans out there, there are plenty of TVs playing sports games around the room, giving you another reliable option if you were looking to lounge at a bar for a while and watch some games. I definitely recommend this restaurant/bar to anyone looking for a good American dish with sports bar vibes inside.
